Hike with the YellowstonePark.com team to Shoshone Lake above Lander, Wyo.,in the Shoshone National Forest. The lake is a huge, beautiful lake that's full of fish and flanked by beautiful views of the southern Wind River Range. This hike isn't for the light-hearted. In fact, most who use this trail are on an ATV. Our route started via Fairfield Hill, then to Pete's Lake, Twin Lakes and Shoshone Basin, before arriving to Shoshone Lake, at the end of a 4,000-foot gain over 12 miles.
